The beginner level introduces learners to the Chinese writing, the different tones and sounds, and how to read the romanised Chinese spelling.
The main topics covered include:
- introducing yourself and others
- useful expressions for buying goods
- asking for directions
The course covers many informative cultural know-how, such as:
- how to address others appropriately
- how to respond to compliments
- how to make suggestions
The Intermediate level covers a broader range of conversational topics. Learners will be introduced to a wide range of sentence patterns to give opinions, express concerns, make a guess, provide explanations, give encouragement, et cetera.
In the Advanced level, learners’ conversational skills will be developed further. Building on topics from the beginner and the intermediate levels, learners are engaged in expanded conversational activities and continue to acquire new vocabularies and grammatical points. New topics of interests are also introduced to expose learners to different social and professional scenarios.
