In this continuing course, learners will develop their writing skills by learning how to write personal letters, writing a job application, and producing a simple speech. Learners will continue building their reading comprehension skills by reading extended passages on Indonesian folktales, conducting semi-technical research, comparing holiday deals, and reading advertisements. Learners will further develop their listening and speaking skills by studying real life interviews and understand the differences between a formal interview and an informal interview.

This course aims to improve learners’ skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening to an advanced level. This course will also cover colloquial Indonesian to prepare learners to understand daily communication in the community and the media. Learners will learn to read critically news articles on various topics, summarise the article, and be able to discuss verbally the topics with the instructor. Learners will also develop their writing skills further by practicing different types of writings.
